The very first multi-store launch event of it's kind, CAMPUS CHILLS, which was produced right on the spot IN 3 OF THE LAUNCH BOOKSTORES (on the Espresso Book Machine), launched simultaneously in 4 different locations across Canada, and featuring 11 of the 13 contributors.
DATE OF BOOK LAUNCH: OCTOBER 22, 2009Featuring 11 of the contributors from CAMPUS CHILLS, the cross Canada book launches also featured special Halloween/Horror themed activities such as readings and talks by the authors, candlelight ghost stories and haunted campus walks. Appearing at Dalhousie (Halifax)Steve appeared at the Dalhousie University Bookstore in Halifax at noon on October 22, 2009, reading from his story which is based on the legend of "Penelope" as well as discussing other local legends of hauntings on and near campus. Machine at the Book Store, guest were escorted to a secret location
for a book reading with UW alumni authors Julie E. Czerneda (BSC '77),
James Alan Gardner (BMath '76) and Douglas Smith (BMath '75).
